I'm not usually the film reviewing type, but this weekend I saw 'Dinner for Schmucks' at the cinema, and it has to be one of the funniest films I have seen in a long time. Steve Carell and Paul Rudd star in the comedy, centering around Rudd's characters life, and the impact that meeting Carell's character has on it.
Steve Carell gives in my opinion, his funniest performance since 'Anchorman', reverting back to the ditsy and stupid sort of character he played in that film. Rudd does what he does best, being funny, while also drawing the audience in to feel sorry for him. It is emotionally satisfying as well as the laughs it gives. I won't give much of the story away, but I'd recommend it as a must see! Though it may have competition for my comedy of the year, as Will Ferrell's new movie 'The Other Guys' will be out soon!
